One of our goals as an etching studio and gallery is to pass on what we know to the world outside our walls. We offer these workshops so that a range of people can experience intaglio first-hand, with guidance from our master printers.
2012 SUMMER WORKSHOPS
This year we are offering three etching workshops, and one photogravure workshop. Each session lasts five days, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enrollment is limited to ten participants in each etching workshop, four in gravure. There are informal technical demonstrations, but in general participants work at their own speed with help from our Crown Point master printers. All skill levels are welcome, including complete beginners. (The advanced etching workshop is open to those who have prior experience in etching.) We do, however, recommend that you have some etching and/or darkroom experience before you take photogravure.
