Dear Nathan, after many and still on-going retrospectives honoring the late John Paul Jones, I remembered his mention and admiration of your work. It is of similar sensibility, as both he and you are (in my view ) with Odilon Redon.

Hello—I have just discovered you by finding my Gamblin Colour Book which has been lost for many years; there is a painting in there - Man with Big Foot - that just astounds me. I am a huge fan of Susan Rothenberg to the point where a think my adoration of her impedes my own art making in a way because I think that she is the best painter I have ever come across - until I saw your painting. I am going to look at more of your art, you may have provided me an escape route for my addiction to Susan. Your art shows me that it is possible for another artist to produce divine work. My apologies if this sounds somewhat weird, I wrote it on impulse after viewing some of your prints, I think they are fabulous.
