As a printmaker myself I am always surprised how artists, who do not have a printmaking background, work with our medium. I notice their way of approaching printmaking has a freshness which I sometimes miss with printmakers. In a way they do not care about techniques but are more concerned about the image itself.
Thanks for letting us share a moment with this Jockum.
Wow! This is a great look into how another artist works and translates from one medium to another. Jockum’s explanations of how some of his previous work now looks like spit-bite or sugar-lift textures after his work at Crown Point is also a nice connection. I really appreciated this short look at what he was able to do with the etching medium. Thank you.
