Yes, spit bite aquatint was used in all three prints, as well as sugar lift aquatint in, “Model Defending Jugs” and “Moonshine”. You may already be familiar with our new book, “Magical Secrets about Aquatint” by Emily York—it is a terrific resource for aquatint techniques.
I appreciate the candor
I appreciate the candor regarding motives in image choices. I resonate with Edgar’s wanting to work with comfortable imagery when trying a new media. It would have been good to hear some discussion of the technique he used for these images. Was it spit-bite? How well did the artist feel it worked with his imagery? thank you.
