Gallery Assistant
Lauren Karas came to Crown Point Press in 2007 as the Gallery Assistant. Previously she worked at the Judah L. Magnes Museum in Berkeley where she was the Development and Membership Assistant. Before relocating to San Francisco in October of 2006, Lauren worked in various capacities at the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) in Cincinnati, Ohio. She began her work at the CAC as a Visitor Services Assistant in 2003 and was subsequently promoted in 2005 to serve as the Center’s Development Coordinator. A Cincinnati native, Lauren holds a BA in art history from the University of Cincinnati.
