Master Printer
Born in San Francisco and raised in Tuscon, Arizona, Catherine Brooks returned to the Bay Area to begin work in the Crown Point Press studio in 2002. Since her arrival she has assisted and lead numerous artist projects and was awarded the title of Master Printer by Kathan Brown in 2005. Prior to her arrival at Crown Point Press, she received her BA with an emphasis in non-toxic intaglio printmaking in 2001 from Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. After graduating from college she apprenticed in lithography at the Atelier Fleur de Pierre and in etching at Atelier Rene Taze, both in Paris, France – where she found her métier. Catherine is also an artist and devoted yogini.
